The madness that is COP has inflicted so many laybacks into catchfoot
into Bielman spins that I had to come up with an abbreviation in my
notes for it: LCB. So many of these girls have such pretty laybacks I
would love to get to just sit and enjoy them, but no! COP says pretty
isn't good enough, you have to put your foot next to your head. Because
it is no longer a skating competition it is a contortionist contest.
This is not a complaint against any young lady doing Bielman, it is all
the Speedskater's fault, he is solely to blame.
- Anna Malkova
- She fell on a triple jump that would have been her combo. She
landed a triple loop. She did a one footed flying sit spin with good
height, position and excellent line. She has good stretch in her spiral
sequence. She did an Ina Baur into a high double axel.
4th place
- Victoria Rackohn
- She landed a triple lutz/double toe, barely held the landing but
got it done. She landed a double loop. She does very flexible, pretzel
spins that actually gain speed when she changes positions. She did an
Arabian split at the beginning of her spiral sequence the split and the
spiral were very extended. She did a back Charlotte into a double axel.
She has a gorgeous one footed flying sit spin, beautiful positions. She
has great stretch, extension and is very elegant.
2nd place
- Nicole Huenergardt
- She fell on a salchow and landed a loop. She has a beautiful
layback spin with the ubiquitous catchfoot/Bielman finale. She held her
arms straight out in front of her doing her sit spin, nice position. She
has a well done change edge spiral, smooth edge transition and held it
for 2/3 of the rink. Nice arm movements.
11th place
- Priscilla Chen
- Skated to a medley of showtunes. She has good presentation. She
landed a double lutz/double toe, did a one footed flying sit spin. She
had a slip in her spiral sequence. She did an axel. She did a
layback/Bielman combo. She had a big smile on her face which made her
fun to watch.

more every time I see her. She has beautiful expression. She landed a
triple salchow/double toe and a triple loop. She is fast and smooth over
the ice. She has a pretty layback into a catchfoot into a Bielman. She
did some nice steps into her double axel. She did a one footed flying
sit spin. Clear and away the winner.

shoulder shaking. She landed a double axel and a double lutz/double toe.

She almost put her hand down on a double loop.
8th place
- Carolyn-Ann Alba

the jumps. She fell on the triple loop. She has a very intricate
footwork sequence. She had problems with her sit spin but I am not sure
what. She landed a double axel. She has a very deep arch in her back in
her layback/catchfoot spin.
6th place

salchow/double toe and a double axel. She did a really beautiful very
stretched Arabian split into a double axel. She did I think a double

double axel with great height but put her hand down. She did a one
footed flying sit spin also with great height. She has good speed,

- Sophia Adams
- Music is The Corpse Bride. Sophia starts
out with some very nice edgework, deep, smooth edges. She did three
turns into a triple loop and a double axel. She has very pretty arms in
her layback, which she must then turn into a catchfoot and Bielman spin
because COP says so there. She has a very intricate, dramatic and
musical footwork sequence. She has a very nice arch in her Bielman
spiral. She fell on a triple I think toe.
