Cat's Lair Photograpy Release Form Information

Due to various issues, many skating clubs and events are no longer allowing private individuals to take photos of the skaters unless they have a release from the skater or the skater's family. We have created a release form which can be viewed in the browser here or downloaded as a Word document here

We live in Southern California and regularly go to Hidden Valley Open in Escondido and Golden West in El Segundo. We go to as many other events as we can reasonably travel to, but unfortunately our days regularly travelling to Nationals have (for now) come to an end.

We are, this year, going to Southwest Pacific Regionals in Anaheim, since it is close enough to us. This starts on Oct, 3rd, 2008.

If email address is provided, we will upload the photos to Walgreens.com and send you a link where photos may be ordered for printing at your local Walgreen's store. We are not selling the photos, the price per print is the same as if you were printing your own vacation photos through Walgreen's. They are merely being provided as a courtesy to the skater and their family.

The release form provides for a couple of levels of permission. We can take photos and post them on Cat's Lair, or we can take photos for our own (and the skater's family's) use but not post them on Cat's Lair.

The term of the permission also has some choices. You may grant permission only for a single event, or for the entire season, or an open-ended permission for all future events. The "single event" and "entire season" options are determined by the date on the form (although you could always write-in the specifics if you are concerned).

You must be 18 in order to grant permission. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign instead.

We must have the release in our hands in order to take photos. On the other hand, we can not guarantee that we will get photos of any particular skater due to the possibilty of conflicting schedules. If you do not recognize Antoinette, look for a woman with a small boy who has his nose in a book (or Disney comics).
