Four Continents Cup 2007

Day 1

I forgot how terrible an altitude headache is, really extreme painful, I was a miserable wreck last night. I would have gladly told Darth Vader where the rebel base was to end that torture. How do people live where there is no oxygen?

Went to just a couple practices today, the arena staff was really nice and let me go under the arena through the backstage stuff to get to the different practice rinks. Watched the Japanese and New Zealand men practice, but I don't know who is whom so I can't really tell you much. One of the Japanese men looked like he was really feeling the lack of oxygen after his run through, can't say as how I blame him. None of the Chinese pairs teams showed up for practice, much to my disappointment, I only went out tonight hoping to see Shen and Zhao. All the US pairs teams were here. I saw Naomi and Themi chatting with Ryan Bradley. I saw the Korean lady's practice, I don't know which one did a really nice triple toe jump sequence. Yoshie Onda was at practice but not Fumie.

Saw Todd Sand in the main arena and Damon Allen at the practice rink. Josee Chouinard is here coaching a woman I don't recognize. Josee is stunning! I thought she was beautiful on tv, but up close in person, oh my gosh! Hollywood's bimbos have nothing on Josee.

We went to 7 Falls today. I had forgotten how beautiful it is. The falls are frozen over but you can still see and hear rushing water under the ice. WE had a great time and Marshall loves Colorado. Tomorrow he gets to go the dinosaur museum. For the first three autumns of Marshall's life we came here for SKAM. Colorado Springs will always have a special place in my heart.
